Public Practice Album Release at Alphaville

PUBLIC PRACTICE/ B BOYS/ GUSTAF

LIVE @ ALPHAVILLE

We went to see Public Practice’s album release show at their homebase, Alphaville. They covered the whole back room with mirror reflective mylar (ceiling included). It ended up selling out so I’m glad we got some tickets.

Mylar, mylar, everywhere. I think Alphaville should consider doing something like this permanently.

Lydia from Gustaf had some gloves on with fake hands attached. Where do you buy something like that?

“WE LOVE YOU

WE LOVE YOU

WE LOVE YOU

IT WAS ONLY A DREAM”

Switching instruments, switching singers, and shaking something round while wearing rubber octopus fingers. Just another Gustaf show.

B Boys were next.

There were alot of B Boy fans there. High quality jangly rock from Brooklyn. Always enjoy seeing them. Most of the time it has been at Alphaville.

The room packed out for Public Practice. They were releasing their album “Distance is a Mirror”. You know the bassist and drummer from Beverly and the guitarist and signer from WALL.

There are not enough turtlenecks at shows. The guitar sound on “Foundation” is pretty crazy.

“BAD GIRLS

I DON’T PLAY YOUR GAME

BAD GIRLS

I DON’T NEED YOUR SHAME”

Goodnight, Alphaville.
